Technique of the Week Sneak Peek!

There are a lot of techniques out there using plastic wrap and paint. This technique is used to great effect by my friend and fellow Magenta Design Team member, Carole Dion. I tried this technique with Nuance, and with my pearly water spray (1/4 tsp of Perfect Pearls powder mixed with 2 oz water). I absolutely loved the result! The plastic wrap caused the mica in the pearly water to make patterns on the Nuance colored cards. The beautiful results are VERY hard to photograph.

To finish the card I stamped this gorgeous flower and sentiment with Versamark and embossed with Judikins White Diamond. You're getting a sneak peek at this beautiful flower stamp that is in the soon to be launched Magenta Spring 2016 collection.

This technique is part of our Technique of the Week series in our weekly emailed Newsletter. If you do not receive our newsletter, please sign up by coming by, calling, or emailing us. Keep up to date with what's going on at Art 'n Soul!

You can also view the whole technique, and lots more pictures at my Backporch blog herehttp://backporchatolympia.blogspot.com/2016/03/technique-of-week-nuanced-saran-and.html.

Also in our newsletter is information about what's coming in to the shop very soon! Our Ranger order is supposed to arrive next Wednesday! We have MISTI tools coming in (they have been shipped) and more!

OF NOTE: Today from 4:00-6:00 the Journal Club is meeting. It's free and everyone is welcome. Bring what you are working on, or just come to see what it's all about.
