Art ‘n Soul’s annual Twelve Tags of Christmas event to
support the Thurston County Food Bank began Monday, December 5th. Pam created this tag for Monday, December 12th,
the eighth day and she’ll be at the store all day to show you how to make
it. We’ll have a new tag for you every day through
Friday, December 16th.
While you are at the store, be sure to take advantage of our
Twelve Days of Christmas daily special.
On Monday you can purchase a stamp at 25% off its regular price. The Twelve Days of Christmas runs through
Thursday, December 22nd. Follow our blog
or Facebook to see the daily special.
Today’s tag features Tim Holtz’s Woodland Trees Dies and
stencil. Pam prepared watercolor paper
with three shades of Nuance (Olive, Grass Green and a small bit of Jade). After the paper was dry she die cut it with both
trees in the Woodland die set (#660978.)
She die cut tags out of watercolor paper using the largest die of the
Poppy Stamps Main Street Stitched Tag set.
To make the tag, brush colors from the Art Quest Stargazer
Watercolor Palette onto the watercolor tags.
Use colors to resemble land and sky.
Dry lightly with a heat gun. Sponge
Distress inks (Mowed Lawn and Bundled Sage) through the trees of the Woodland
Stencil (TH5071.) Arrange the die cut
trees as desired on the tag and adhere.
Adhere the Memory Box Sketchbook Joy (#99242) die cut to the bottom
right corner of the tag. Add ribbon.
The Art ‘n Soul staff will provide all the materials you
need to make each day’s tag. The cost to
you is a donation of non-perishable food or $1 (or more if you would like) for
each tag you make. All donations go
directly to the Thurston County Food Bank.
We really appreciate your support to this great community program. We look forward to seeing you in the store
this month to thank you in person.
