Huge Used Craft Sale - November 23rd

SAVE THE DATE!! HUGE SALE!!

There will be another big sale (like Recycled Rubber)!! The date is November 23rd, and the place is the VFW Post 318 2902 Martin Way E in Olympia. The time is 10:00 A.M. through 3:00 P.M. (if we are able to get in there the night before to set up, we will open at 9:00). We have SO MUCH great stuff we are bringing to the sale! Dianne will be there, and she has purged a lot! Debbie Gaetz, and Pam Nelson will also be there, as well as the members of the Olympia Paper Dolls, and Kelli Hull, a member of the Impression Obsession DT. Can't wait!! See you there!

CKC Scrapbook Expo in Tacoma November 8 & 9, 2019

There will be a big Scrapbook expo in Tacoma this coming weekend at the Tacoma Convention Center!! It will be on Friday, November 8th and Saturday, November 9th. 

There will also be lots of things for card makers, so we hope you will come and check it out. Pam and Dianne will be at the Elizabeth Craft Designs Booth, and Carolyn will be at Local King, Please stop by and say hi to us!

New Stencil Technique by Sherry Barello

Sherry Barello, a friend and former Art 'n Soul customer contacted us to let us know that she has discovered something new and unique to do with stencils.

Sherry said: "I put the stencils onto wood and used dry-wall mudd , let it dry, then painted it with watery dark brown/black paint, then wiped most of with paper towels.. " Check out the photos, these are amazing!

We have received questions about the date and time for the estate sale Marj's daughters will be having.  The sale has been scheduled for Friday, June 14th and Saturday, June 15th, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The address is 8640 Burns Dr. SW, Olympia, 98512.  We hope you can visit the sale and support Marj's family.  In addition, the remaining craft items from the big sale in April will be available at the estate sale, as will the remaining furniture in her craft room.

Giant Used Craft Supplies Sale!

Hey everyone! There is going to be another mega used crafts sale! This one will be at the VFW post at 2902 Martin Way East, on Saturday, April 27 from 10:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. This sale will be even bigger than the last, with even more people selling, and even more items; we have it on good authority that one person is getting rid of ALL of her dies! 

ANOTHER REASON TO NOT MISS THIS SALE: You all may know that our dear friend Marj Marion died in February. Pam, Deb, Marilyn, and Dianne will be there at the sale, selling ALL of Marj’s craft items that we can fit on 4 tables, and some of her cards as well. Many of her friends have been organizing and pricing all of Marj’s craft things to help out. The sale of Marj’s art supplies will be to solely benefit her family, so we hope you can make it. This is your chance to get some of Marj’s wonderful stamps, dies, inks, paper, tools and more. Please come, and please bring cash. Hope to see you there!

Marj Marion

We're so sorry to have to tell you that we have lost such a bright light from our Art 'n Soul family, and the arts community in general. Marj Marion died on Friday, February 15, and we are devastated at her passing. Marj was so loving and giving and generous to everyone. She was truly an amazing artist, teacher, mentor and friend. She will be in our hearts forever. Below is a letter from Marj's daughters. As they so eloquently shared "tell your loved ones they are loved, and don't waste a single day..."

Hello friends,

We are Marj Marion's daughters, Kris & Julie, and we are writing you with some sad and shocking news about Marj. We are heart broken and devastated to tell you that Marj took her life on Friday February 15th. As you all know, our father Wayne passed away last August. All of those around her have been with her, supporting her, checking in on her, and she seemed to be adapting and coping as well as could be expected. No one saw this coming, and we are shocked and saddened that we didn't know the depth and breadth of her pain.

She spent the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays with her two sisters, Connie & Ruth, and had marvelous visits with them. 

She died of an overdose of medications, and appears to have gone to sleep and passed peacefully during her sleep. We do know that she has struggled with depression and anxiety for many years, and took great lengths to hide her sadness from her friends and family. Obviously, none of us closest to her understood how much she was suffering, hurting, and trying to overcome. Our hope is that by sharing this information with you all, that you would all reach out to those you love. Ask the hard questions, tell your loved ones they are loved, and don't waste a single day with those you love.
