Impress Cards, Crafts and Rubber Stamps

I'm sharing this post from Impress, because it's come to our attention that not everyone knew about this. This was posted on Facebook, and then we shared it to the Art 'n Soul Facebook page. I will try to be better about remembering to still post things here, because we know that not everyone is on Facebook. We are very sad about Impress closing their storefront, but hopeful they will find another one soon. Below is a copy of what was posted by Impress on Facebook on June 18. Please be sure to continue to shop at Impress online. You can access their online store  here. If you are on Facebook and have not already done so, please like our page at Art 'n Soul, and also the Impress FB page at Impress Rubber Stamps.

It’s with much sadness we share the news that we’re closing our Tukwila store location.

Impress will still be alive online though. Until we can find a new location, you’ll be able to find us at impresscardsandcrafts.com and we can stay in touch through social media and newsletters. We’ve got all the new summer and fall releases ordered and plan to continue to offer you creative supplies for all your projects.

Our last day at our Tukwila store will be Thurs. June 25th. Stop by and see us sometime in the next week and enjoy some of the bargains we’re offering on merchandise we don’t plan to move. We wish we could have a party with all of you to celebrate the good times we’ve had at the store but with the current pandemic it would be a little difficult!

We love the community of creative customers, coworkers and friends we’ve made over the past 33 years and we hope to continue to hear from all of you! Thanks for your friendship and support. It means the world to us.

Impress also shared this recently on Facebook:

"Some of you might not be getting our weekly "what's new" emails. If not you might check your junk folder. For some reason yahoo and aol are delaying our emails and sometimes even blocking them. We're working on the situation but in the mean time it doesn't hurt to add whatsnew@impresscardsandcrafts.com to your safe sender list."

New Stencil Technique by Sherry Barello

Sherry Barello, a friend and former Art 'n Soul customer contacted us to let us know that she has discovered something new and unique to do with stencils.

by Sherry Barello

Sherry said: "I put the stencils onto wood and used dry-wall mudd , let it dry, then painted it with watery dark brown/black paint, then wiped most of with paper towels.. " Check out the photos, these are amazing!

by Sherry Barello

She has left space on some of them to paint images such as birds.

Estate Sale for Marj Marion

We have received questions about the date and time for the estate sale Marj's daughters will be having.  The sale has been scheduled for Friday, June 14th and Saturday, June 15th, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The address is 8640 Burns Dr. SW, Olympia, 98512.  We hope you can visit the sale and support Marj's family.  In addition, the remaining craft items from the big sale in April will be available at the estate sale, as will the remaining furniture in her craft room.

Giant Used Craft Supplies Sale!

Hey everyone! There is going to be another mega used crafts sale! This one will be at the VFW post at 2902 Martin Way East, on Saturday, April 27 from 10:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. This sale will be even bigger than the last, with even more people selling, and even more items; we have it on good authority that one person is getting rid of ALL of her dies!

ANOTHER REASON TO NOT MISS THIS SALE: You all may know that our dear friend Marj Marion died in February. Pam, Deb, Marilyn, and Dianne will be there at the sale, selling ALL of Marj’s craft items that we can fit on 4 tables, and some of her cards as well. Many of her friends have been organizing and pricing all of Marj’s craft things to help out. The sale of Marj’s art supplies will be to solely benefit her family, so we hope you can make it. This is your chance to get some of Marj’s wonderful stamps, dies, inks, paper, tools and more. Please come, and please bring cash. Hope to see you there!
